However, the home relies heavily on the generosity of individuals like you to continue its mission of empowerment and education.

The 2024/2025 session drew to a close in July for our secondary school girls. In Nigeria, schools typically host graduation parties, prize-giving events, and end-of-session parties. Four of our girls graduated, with two progressing to tertiary institutions and two moving up to the senior class. Some of them also received prizes for their hard work. Their exam results were impressive, and those still in school were promoted to the next class.
Meanwhile, our girls in tertiary institutions have returned home for the holidays after completing a full session.
TESTIMONY.
My name is Umaru Zaliyat Zarah, I am 18 years old, I am from Kebbi state. I came to Echoes of Mercy and Hope Foundation on the 11th of November 2020. I was just 13 when someone tried to molest me, but thanks to God in the life of the founder of the home Mrs Fola Soyebo, who has been of great help to me and my family.
The home has impacted me a lot. It has given me a new life, it has rehabilitated my life and given me a new home and education.
I was a girl who had no hopes of going to a proper secondary school, but with me in EMHF I have been able to start and about to finish secondary school.
I want to go into politics someday and make sure Nigeria is better for young adults. But for the main time in university, I want to study mass communication so I would give citizens valid and reasonable news.
Holiday Activities at the Home.
Our girls are at home for summer break but they are just not waking up, eating, sleeping or reading. They have been engaged in some activities to keep them busy, educated and entertained as well.
Below is a picture of them before going for a program organized by a Church in Ikeja.
A number of the girls participated in bead making, a week-long activity. Some have also taken up summer jobs. This experience, we believe, will foster a sense of responsibility among them.
While our girls are still on break, we welcome opportunities for them to engage in skill-building workshops, training or empowerment programs that will enrich their future.
BACK TO SCHOOL.
The BACK TO SCHOOL season is almost upon us, when tuitions will need to be paid, school bags, books, uniforms, school shoes and even food items will be very needed. We solicit for your support in ensuring that our girls have all they need to go back to school with the smiles you are seeing on their faces in the pictures above. Your kindness is essential to our progress. Please consult the newsletter for information on donating to our account.
Thank you.
